Another piece from our "not very French but too nice to leave out" collection - but its name does have French origins!

An 'escritoire' was the early 18th Century english name for a writing desk.  

This escritoire is hand made from mahogany in the traditional Chippendale style. It has a variety of useful drawers (including some hidden) and small central cupboard offering plenty of storage space, as well as a good sized flat writing surface. Delivered in two pieces.
